Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar acquired new equipment worth EUR 4 million in 2005\

Mar 03, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Since the beginning of 2005 Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar (Komi Republic, Russia) acquired new equipment worth EUR 4 million, corporate spokesperson told Lesprom.ru. A total of 15 equipment facilities were acquired by Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar in 2005 - 5 Harvesters, 9 fFrwarders and 1 Processor supplied by Valmet. The Finnish equipment is currently being delivered to the enterprise. Udorales (Udorsky district), Sysolsky timber enterprise (Sysolsky district), Palauzsky timber enterprise (Koygorodsky district), Splav (Ust-Kulomsky district) received 1 Harvester and 1 Forwarder each. Koygorodsky timber enterprise will receive 1 Harvester and 3 Forwarders, Vychegdales - 1 Forwarder, Mobilny Les LLC - 1 Forwarder and 1 Processor. Finnish specialists will provide a training course for the operators of the machines. Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar consumes 3 million cub m of timber, 75% of which are supplied by own timber enterprises, the rest - by other suppliers. In 2005 MBPS intends to produce 85% of timber using the manual method (switch technology) and 15% using equipment (assortment technolohy).
