New management board in place at Voith Paper Fabrics

Dec 09, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Matthias Lindemann has been appointed as chief financial officer of Voith Paper Fabrics. He succeeds Martin Scherrer in this position. Lindemann was previously commercial manager of the division rail of Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG. Martin Scherrer has been named as the senior vice president for Voith Paper Fabrics Europe/Africa region. He will oversee the entire European organization responsible for sales and operations. Scherrer begins his new position after spending two years as chief financial officer. Prior to that, he held international positions for Voith Paper in Indonesia, Italy and Brazil. Bob Gallo, senior vice president for the Americas, and Bob Burke, senior vice president for the Asia/Pacific region, will remain in their positions responsible for the overall operations and sales functions in their respective global regions. As previously announced, Bertram Staudenmaier, member of the Voith Paper executive board, became the head of Voith Paper Fabrics, effective May 1, 2005. Staudenmaier joined Voith in 2005 as member of the corporate board of management, Voith AG. He joined Dr. Hans-Peter Sollinger and Norbert Nettesheim to form the Voith Paper executive board, which oversees the seven divisions of Voith Paper. Prior to these recent management appointments, Fabrics was an independent division of Voith AG. As a worldwide leading supplier of paper machine clothing, it became a division of Voith Paper under the name "Voith Paper Fabrics" in May of 2005. Voith Paper is a division of the Voith Group and one of the leading partners to the paper industry. More than one third of the world's paper production is produced on Voith Paper machines. Voith sets standards in the paper, energy, mobility and service markets.
