PGS Group has entered the Italian market through the acquisition of the historic family-owned company Beretta Pallets, based in Mapello, Lombardy. The acquired site spans 23,500 m2, with 6,000 m2 of industrial facilities, and combines the production of new pallets with the reconditioning of used ones, according to PGS Group.
Major industrial investments at the site, including two new production lines, drying kilns, and a paint cabin, are scheduled to become operational from March 2026. These upgrades are projected to triple the location's annual production capacity to 1.5 million pallets.
Valerio Ruspino, the Managing Director of Beretta Pallets, will lead the development of PGS Group's activities in Italy, supported by the existing team of 15 employees, which is planned to expand in the medium term.
