Rengo subsidiary Settsu Carton removes Shinshiro plant corrugator in Japan

Rengo Co., Ltd. announces that its consolidated subsidiary, Settsu Carton Co., Ltd., has decided to remove the corrugator from its Shinshiro Plant in Japan and revamp the plant as a converting plant.

This revamp will involve stopping and removing the corrugator, which had deteriorated with age, so that the plant will only have converting capabilities. It will therefore become a specialized converting plant.

The Settsu Carton Shinshiro Plant was established in 1987 as Tokaishiko Co., Ltd. and became directly operated plant through a merger in October 2000. The company has been involved in manufacturing and sales of corrugated boards and boxes.
