The total value of wood purchased from Slovenian private forests decreased by 6.5% compared to last August, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

All main categories recorded a decline in volume of purchase and thus its value. The purchase value of pulpwood fell by 39.7% and of fuelwood by a quarter. Due to higher prices, the value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs fell the least.

Compared to July, the purchase value was lower by 12.7% in total. It fell for sawlogs and veneer logs and for pulpwood, while for fuelwood it grew by 10.8%.
