Euro 4.3 million of roundwood was purchased from Slovenian private owners in January 2024, which was about 59% more than a month before (due to higher quantities of purchased roundwood), according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went up by almost 65%, the value of wood fuel and other industrial roundwood was almost twice as high, while the value of purchased pulpwood was 5% lower than a month before.
Compared to January 2023, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners increased by about 8% (due to higher quantities of purchased roundwood). The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went up by almost 13% and of wood fuel by about 52%. The values of purchased pulpwood and of other industrial roundwood were lower than a year before (by about 24% and by almost 2%, respectively).
