Sun Paper put the rebuilt board machines into successful operation
Mar 02, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. The Chinese paper and board producer Sun Paper (Yanzhou Tiyanyi Paper Industry Co. Ltd.) put the rebuilt board machines BM 17 and BM 18 into successful operation. Both machines, originally delivered by another supplier, have each been equipped with a Voith DuoShake for gentle drainage. The scope of supply also included five vacuum foil boxes for the middle ply in the wire section of BM 17.
The rebuilds achieved excellent results in board quality. The DuoShakes were installed to produce a decisive improvement in formation and MD/CD ratio, allowing significantly enhanced formation and board properties. Without exerting any reaction forces on the foundation, the special operating principle allows much higher shaking frequencies than can be used with conventional units: an efficient solution for permanent quality improvements.
The BM 17 produces coated ivory board in a basis weight range of 190-350 g/m². The BM 18 also produces coated ivory board of 450 g/m² maximum basis weight. The design speed of the two machines is 600 m/min.Voith Paper is a division of the Voith Group and one of the leading partners to the paper industry.
