Unilin Technologies announces that Swiss Krono Group, one of the largest manufacturers of laminate flooring worldwide, will be adopting the Unidrop locking system for their laminate and hybrid resilient flooring products in multiple of their manufacturing facilities around the globe. The choice for this new locking system happens in a strategic move towards more sustainability and consumer focused products.
Unidrop is a fold-down locking system offered for license by Unilin. Swiss Krono has chosen to adopt Unidrop due to its qualitative features in terms of locking and installation and also because it eliminates the need for any type of plastic inserts to secure the locking, which has become an increasingly important feature in terms of sustainability.
"After extensive testing, we found that Unidrop was best in class in terms of click strength and installation ease,” commented Tim Neitzel, director Product Development at Swiss Krono USA. “By implementing Unidrop across our laminate and hybrid-resilient flooring lines in Europe and the U.S., we are reinforcing our commitment to sustainable practices and innovative solutions."
Robert Schneider, General Manager (Sales & Marketing) of the Swiss Krono Factory in Heiligengrabe, added: "We are increasing our offer of water-resistant flooring ranges with a huge focus on what end-consumers are looking for in a floor today. That's why we wanted to change to a floor that can offer extra durability, is waterproof and easy to install. The Unidrop locking helps us to commit to our sustainability targets while also increasing customer satisfaction."
