UPM Adhesive Materials, formerly UPM Raflatac, will launch a slitting and distribution terminal near Hanoi to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and provide faster service to customers in Northern Vietnam. The new terminal will support demand across key sectors, including electronics and durables, and is scheduled to begin operations around mid-2026, according to UPM Adhesive Materials.

The facility will include modern slitting equipment and maintain a localized inventory of label materials to improve delivery speed and flexibility. “This investment will enable us to serve our customers in the region with greater agility and efficiency as well as capture business opportunities in the higher-value durables and electronics segments,” said Henning Krebs, Vice President, APAC.

UPM Adhesive Materials has also committed to a new coating line and facility upgrades at its Johor Bahru factory in Malaysia. Across Asia-Pacific, the company operates two production plants and eleven logistics terminals and warehouses.
