The FSC National Forest Stewardship Standard for Ukraine will become effective on 30 March 2020.
FSC Ukraine launches its national forest stewardship standard that applies to all forest types. A chamber-balanced standard development group developed the standard. The group used a multi-stakeholder process, including two public consultations and a field test.
FSC-certified forest area in the country currently represents around 40% of the total forest land, mostly state owned.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international member organization that works for environmentally adapted, socially responsible and economically viable use of the world's forests.
