Volga pulp & paper plant invested 1 billion roubles ($ 40 million) into waste recycling line

On August 26, 2008, a full line for utilizing bark, wood waste and sewage sludges was launched at Volga Pulp & Paper Plant PLC (Nizhniy Novgorod region, Russia). 1 billion roubles ($40 million) were invested into the waste recycling line, Volgda pulp & paper plant General Director Sergey Khvostikov reported after the launch ceremony. The line includes waste heat boiler and associated equipment as well as pre-burning bark processing facility and an area for sludge processing for burning and pumping, Khvostikov said.
