Australian NAFI elected new President, Bob Pearce
Mar 19, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. The National Association of Forest Industries (NAFI), Australia, announced the election of its new President, Bob Pearce. Mr Pearce will succeed Dr Douglas Head as NAFI’s President, who has served in the position for over two years.
Mar 19, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. The National Association of Forest Industries (NAFI), Australia, announced the election of its new President, Bob Pearce. Mr Pearce will succeed Dr Douglas Head as NAFI’s President, who has served in the position for over two years.
NAFI CEO, Mrs Catherine Murphy, said, “I would like to personally welcome Bob to his new position and I look forward to the guidance he will provide the Association.”
Mr Pearce is also the Executive Director of the Forest Industries Federation of Western Australia a position he has held for the last 10 years. Mr Pearce was previously a Minister for the former Labor government in WA.
“I would like to see greater industry unity, which can be facilitated through NAFI’s new structure, to ensure the industry is well positioned to deal with current and emerging issues such as climate change,” said Mr Pearce.
NAFI provides the national voice for the hundreds of firms and thousands of individuals who comprise the Australian forest industries.
