Jürgen Bergner, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO) of HS Timber, becomes CEO. Gerald Schweighofer, the founding CEO of HS Timber, has stepped down from his management role to concentrate on various other entrepreneurial endeavours. Despite his resignation, he will maintain a close connection with the company and the sawmilling industry, offering his expertise and ongoing support.

Jürgen Bergner, who holds a degree in business administration, has been with HS Timber since 2003 and has been a member of the Group’s Management Board since 2016. As COO, he has been responsible for the Production/Technology, Purchasing, Energy & Environment and Public Relations business areas, among others. In addition to these, in his new role as CEO, Jürgen Bergner will also be responsible for the Group's HR agendas.

Jürgen Bergner will continue to lead HS Timber alongside his experienced colleagues on the Board, Martin Louda (CSO) and Christian Frühwald (CFO).
