RF Ministry for Industry, Science and Technologies has determined its policy regarding support of the timber industry. The ministry board confirmed at its recent session the package of measures, necessary to implement the Basic Lines of Development of RF Timber Industry in 2003, published by the Ministry in late 2002. The Ministry also suggests making a budgetary provision, starting from the next year, for the payment of interests on the leasing credits, aimed for covering purchases of the home-produced logging equipment by Russian lumberers.
