Jun 18, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) announced that ROMPAP, the Romanian pulp and paper trade association has become its newest member. ROMPAP gathers together 24 member companies including all of the Romanian pulp, paper and board producers as well as 93 % of corrugated board producers and CEPROHART SA Braila, the research and development institute for the industry. “CEPI is delighted to welcome ROMPAP as a CEPI member and we hope that we will have a very fruitful partnership over the years to come. ROMPAP has been active sine 1992 and has been promoting our industry within Romania and we now look forward to learning from them and sharing expertise.” said Teresa Presas, Managing Director of CEPI. “We are pleased to be able to take our place as a member of CEPI and believe that we can play an important role in representing the newer European member states and the issues we face,“ stated Constantin Chiriac, General Executive Director of ROMPAP.
