The initial total investment in the company is $6 million and its registered capital is $4.5 million. It mainly produces complete wood equipment for processing composite floorboards, formed door boards and cupboard boards. It is reported that this is the first overseas production and sales base of Wemhoener of Germany. Wemhoener (Changzhou) Machinery Manufactury Co. Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wemhoener group in Germany. Wemhoener group is the largest manufacturer of complete wood equipment in the world and its total worldwide sales were $125 million in 2006. Wemhoener is located in Herford in the north of Germany. Formerly another company of the city invested CNY 10 million in Xinbei District and established Schieder Furniture Co., Ltd. On the same day, Herford and the Changzhou high-tech zone (in Xinbei district) signed a letter of intent to forge a friendly relationship between them.
