U.S. packaging papers and specialty packaging shipments in June increased 2% compared to June 2025 and were up 6% when compared to the same six-month period of 2025, according to the American Forest & Paper Association.

The bleached packaging papers operating rate increased to 91.3% in June, marking the second highest rate in the last 13 months after 93.1% recorded in March.

Shipments of unbleached bag and sack rose nearly 15% from last June and increased 7.7% year-to-date, while total inventories declined 4.4% compared to June 2025.
