International Paper temporarily suspended operations at its Pine Hill containerboard mill in Alabama after a weather event damaged a critical roof at the facility. The company took the action to protect employees and contractors.
The mill produces containerboard used to make corrugated packaging. International Paper has not disclosed the facility’s annual production capacity.
The company is assessing the repairs required at the mill and expects manufacturing to resume in August. It is working with customers to manage potential effects from the temporary suspension.
