Action Tesa will install a new pressurized refining system for its upcoming medium-density fiberboard production facility in Visakhapatnam, India, with startup scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, according to the technology supplier Andritz.
The system has a capacity of 33 tonnes per hour. Its core component is a 20-inch plug screw feeder with AdvaProtect segments, which enables on-site servicing without a spare housing. The supplied equipment also includes an S1056 refiner, a pressurized digester with counterflow and steam regulation, and a C-Feeder concept for improved material handling.
The fiber produced will be used for manufacturing MDF at the new plant. The system is designed to integrate into the primary production line for the facility.
The new MDF production line represents a significant expansion of Action Tesa's manufacturing footprint in the Indian building materials sector. The company, established in the region, is proceeding with the project as planned for a 2026 operational start.
