International technology Group Andritz has acquired Iggesund Tools International AB, headquartered in Iggesund, Sweden, including its subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, and other countries. The acquired companies have approximately 160 employees and generate annual sales of about Euro 25 million. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
Iggesund Tools – now Andritz Iggesund Tools – supplies wood chipping and debarking equipment (mainly chipper knife systems) for pulp and sawmills. The Andritz Pulp & Paper business area is thus strengthening and complementing its service offerings in the wood processing area.
