VESTO melamine products are produced with InCopper® technology, which provides antimicrobial copper protection, eliminating bacteria, fungi and viruses with 99% effectiveness. In terms of speed and efficiency, VESTO offers the best antimicrobial protection available in the market, and its properties have been tested under the ISO 22.196 standard.
Gerardo Jofré, Chairman of the Board of Codelco explained, “This product is a revolutionary contribution, because it helps create safer and healthier environments. Even more so, knowing that copper is self-sanitizing 24 hours a day and melamine is a product that is broadly used worldwide”, says.
The joint work conducted by Arauco and Codelco was highlighted by Corfo’s Vice president Hernán Cheyre, who said, “In this Year of Innovation, we are very happy to support Chilean companies that continuously bet on innovative businesses with a global vision”.
The recently signed agreement seeks to further the development of new products, as well as license this technology to third parties around the world, transforming this innovation into a high value-added export product for Chile.
