Ilim Timber placed an order with Swedish AriVislanda AB for sawmill equipment in its Ust-Ilimsk, Russia branch. The purpose of the modernization is to replace existing frame saws with modern profiling equipment. Installation and commissioning of the equipment is planned for the first half of 2021.
"This project aims to improve the quality of the products as well as production efficiency as a whole and is the first step in the plant's modernization program," says Viktor Melnik, Investment Director at Ilim Timber LLC.
The Ilim Timber branch in Ust-Ilimsk specializes in the production of timber from pine and Siberian larch. The production capacity of the plant is approximately 600,000 m3 of sawn timber per year.
