Atlas Engineered Products introduces customized wall panels

Atlas Engineered Products ("AEP") introduces customized wall panels to the product offering at its recently acquired SC Building Systems ("SC") in Carman MB.

"This type of customized pre-fabrication is revolutionizing the building trade," explained AEP CEO Dirk Maritz. "Assembling these panels ahead of time, indoors in the plant, means that that delivery and construction can be timed down to the specific day. Added to SC's expertise in design, engineering, roof trusses and floor joists - the result is a superior turn-key service. In the case of this 3-door garage with attic, it meant completing in a single day."

Traditional stick frame construction, meaning loose pieces of lumber are delivered and framed up on site, is often weather dependent, and it is time and labour intensive. Quality control can be insufficient or poorly tracked.

SC Building Systems and other AEP plants in BC and Ontario use laser precision, software and automation to manufacture engineered products, in a controlled indoor factory environment using standardized best practices.

SC has a loyal and growing customer base covering more than 25 communities in southern Manitoba. The plant provides easy access to the large Winnipeg market, as well as offering potential entry into the northern parts of Minnesota and North Dakota. SC was AEP's sixth acquisition in just over a year and expands the Company's cash-flowing portfolio and footprint into a third province.
