Aviretta contracts Bellmer to rebuild PM 4 at paper mill in Ettringen, Germany,

Apr 08, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. A year ago the newly-founded Aviretta GmbH – a group of private investors – decided to purchase the shut down PM 4 from the Finnish UPM group, and to rebuild and operate the machine in Ettringen, Germany. Aviretta will use PM 4 for packaging paper production (fluting). Aviretta chose modernization specialist Bellmer for this demanding project. Bellmer’s delivery for the rebuild will include a TURBOFilmSizer filmpress with a working width of 7 m, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The TURBOFilmSizer offers many advantages for paper production compared with a standard size press, including higher solids content, and uniform and better-controlled size application.

Sizer engineering will be carried out by Spanish subsidiary Bellmer Ibérica, while manufacturing will take place at its headquarters in Niefern, Germany.

The scope of Bellmer’s involvement in the project also includes a knock-off device, components for the airturn paper feed, frame parts for the film press and adjust-ments to the dryer section. Bellmer will also install a water jet tailcutter and pulper under the film press. The existing drying cylinders of the post-dryer section will be moved to the position previously occupied by the calender.

Engineering, project management, disassembly, installation and training courses will all be provided by Bellmer.
