Bell Lumber & Pole is expanding its manufacturing facility in De Queen, Arkansas, to accelerate production of Southern Yellow Pine utility poles in the southern United States. The investment marks the company's first facility in the state and is expected to create 12 new jobs over the next two years, according to the  Arkansas Economic Development Commission.

The De Queen facility focuses on peeling, conditioning and interior storage of utility poles, processes that prepare raw timber for use in utility infrastructure. The site currently employs 17 full-time workers. The company selected the location for its strategic position and proximity to natural resources, aiming to increase production capacity and efficiency for faster manufacturing and delivery times.

Headquartered in New Brighton, Minnesota, Bell Lumber & Pole is a fifth-generation, family-owned company serving utility and telecom industries with wood products including piling, posts and mass timber solutions.
