Boise Cascade Company announces that Chief Executive Officer Nate Jorgensen will retire effective March 2, 2026, and that the board of directors has appointed Chief Operating Officer Jeff Strom as his successor effective March 3, 2026. Jorgensen will continue to serve on the company’s board following his retirement.
The company said that it will not backfill the chief operating officer position after the leadership transition. Jorgensen has led Boise Cascade for six years, guiding the company through a global pandemic and a period of significant growth, as stated by Tom Carlile, Chair of the board.
Strom has worked in the building materials industry for over 34 years and joined Boise Cascade in 2006. He previously served as executive vice president of the building materials distribution division and vice president and general manager for the Eastern Region.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and serves on the board of trustees for Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity.
