Botnia was honoured with the five star "Recognised for Excellence" recognition for achieving 500 points. The last time Botnia participated in the competition in 2008 and exceeding over 400 points, company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. The Recognised for Excellence award is a business development tool for companies and public organizations. Participation in the competition increases target-oriented development and inspires the personnel to continuous improvement. The evaluation gives objective information on company governance, goal setting and achieved results. The forest industry company Oy Metsä-Botnia Ab - marketing name Botnia - was founded in 1973, and it manufactures high quality bleached pulp grades under the name Botnia.
