Campbell Global has completed the acquisition of the 28,200 acre Emerald Ridge timberland property located in Oregon’s north coastal and Willamette Valley regions. The property contains an estimated 8.5 million trees and features over 365 miles of streams, including 70 miles that support fish populations. The firm will manage the land according to Sustainable Forestry Initiative standards.

The acquisition includes 3,100 acres of streamside buffers for water quality protection and 390 acres of habitat dedicated to species such as the northern spotted owl and marbled murrelet. Future management operations are expected to provide living-wage employment in local rural communities. Campbell Global is the timberland investment manager of J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
