Canada's lumber production decreased 30.2% from March to 3 496.0 thousand cubic metres in April. Production was 33.5% lower than in April 2019, as Statistics Canada reported.
Sawmills shipped 4 224.1 thousand cubic metres of lumber in April, down 9% from March and down 18.8% from April 2019.
