Production through seven months reached 10.7 billion board feet, 26% behind last year's pace, as Random Lengths reported. All provinces but Alberta, Ontario, and New Brunswick gained from June to July; despite the decline, Alberta remained just 10% off the year-ago pace at 1.6 billion board feet. Output in British Columbia was 852 million board feet for July - 56% of the national total - and 5.5 billion board feet through seven months.
