Kalesnikoff will implement a leadership transition effective January 1, 2026, appointing Chris Kalesnikoff as President and Chief Executive Officer and Krystle Seed as Chief Financial and Strategic Services Officer. The change marks the fourth generation of family leadership at Kalesnikoff Lumber Company and Kalesnikoff Mass Timber Inc., according to a company statement.

Ken Kalesnikoff, current President and CEO, will shift his focus to industry advocacy while continuing as a Principal and Director on the company’s external Advisory Board.

Kalesnikoff operates facilities in South Slocan and Castlegar. The company opened its first mass timber facility in 2020 and launched North America’s first modular mass timber facility in June 2025. Both sites use timber sourced from its original sawmill in Thrums, British Columbia.

The company employs 375 people in the Castlegar region, Vancouver, and across the province. Since 2020, it has completed more than 400 mass timber projects across Canada and the United States.
