Cascades has invested $6.9 million in its uncoated recycled boxboard manufacturing plant in Kingsey Falls to increase production capacity and enhance product quality. Since September, the company has installed new equipment at the Papier Kingsey Falls facility aimed at improving sheet properties, including surface finish and printing characteristics. The project serves the growing needs of the food packaging industry, according to Cascades.
The investment strengthens the facility's long-term competitiveness and supports the company's growth strategy in Quebec. The Kingsey Falls plant, commissioned in 1972, employs 68 workers and serves both industrial and food packaging markets. The upgrades will help Cascades maintain its position as a key supplier in the sector.
