Cascades is investing $6 million in its tissue paper plant in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, a project expected to create 36 new jobs over the next two years.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is supporting the expansion with up to $200,000 in performance-based state income tax credits. The investment includes installing a new, advanced converting line to introduce premium products and increase capacity, according to the WEDC.

The new equipment will improve the plant's integration rates and market coverage. Company President and CEO Hugues Simon stated the project is part of repositioning its tissue paper platform to better face market conditions and support customer growth.
