Cherepovetsles held audit to comply with 2.0 GFA supplies standard

Jun 03, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. The following certificate allows the enterprise to pass FSC-certification of round timber, sawn timber, fur-tree, pine, aspen and birch chips. Registration code of Cherepovetsles (Vologda region, Russia) is GFA-COC-1259. FSC certification aims at integrating the enterprise into the supplies chain of the holding. After the enterprise proves its complinace with 2.0 GFA, Cherepovetsles will close the FSC-certified chain of supplies. Currently the enterprise exports exports 700 thousand cub m of round timber and 60 thousand cub m of sawn timber. In August 2004 Belozerskles, the largest enterprise owned by Cherepovetsles, obtained FSC certificate wo produce timber in a forestry of 220 thousand hectares. In March 2005 a sawmill in Nizhnaya Mondoma obtained COC certificate.
