Dieffenbacher has received an order from the Westervelt Company for their new wood pellet plant in Aliceville, Alabama, USA, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Dieffenbacher is responsible for the complete process design, integration and supply of all major process equipment. The plant will utilize a variety of equipment manufactured by Dieffenbacher including a Heat Energy and Dryer system to be manufactured at the new Dieffenbacher manufacturing plant located in Alpharetta, Georgia. The scope of Dieffenbacher’s supply starts with the log yard and runs through the pellet load out and includes engineering and process control. The new plant is the initial pellet production facility for Westervelt Renewable Energy and will supply 280,000 metric tons annually of wood pellets for industrial power generation. First pellet is scheduled for November 2012.
