The Ence biofactory in Navia will begin its annual technical shutdown today, which will last until April 22, when it will resume its normal activity.

Throughout this stop, more than Euro 14 million  will be invested in the naviega plant, and an ambitious work plan will be executed to incorporate new technologies and improve existing ones, in order to continue reinforcing efficiency, reliability and environmental excellence. from the Asturian Ence biofactory.

All of this will allow Ence Navia to remain at the forefront of the sector, as one of the most competitive biofactories in Europe, and for its efficiency to continue driving the Group, even more so at a time like the current one, marked by strong increases in the price of cellulose (which has increased more than 50% since last autumn).

Thus, along with the work aimed at maintaining the biofactory, this technical interruption will be used to reinforce its sustainability, especially in the areas of decarbonization of processes and reduction and optimization of water consumption.

The participation of almost a hundred collaborating companies is planned, which will carry out their activity simultaneously.
