Aug 02, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Stora Enso timber-processing enterprise in Imver (Estonia) approved Forest Stewardship Certification (FSC), SmartWood auditor company reported. The validity of the certificate was broken in April 2004 because of the information exchange system breakdown on the enterprise. In September 2003 the enterprise having an insignificant amount of certified timber started to mix certified logs with non-certified ones temporarily quitting FSC certificate. However beginning from September 2003 to March 2004 the enterprise supplied 916 thousand cub me of timber products to an undisclosed French customer with FSC label on them. Therefore FSC certificate validity was stopped. In 2003 Stora Enso Timber supplied 5.8 million cub m of timber, including 35 thousand cub m of FSC certified timber.
