European Forest Institute elected new Board member
European Forest Institute (EFI) Council meeting took place on 27 May, 2014 at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, Vienna, Austria. In the meeting, the Council elected Knut Øistad from Norway to the Board for the next 3 years. He will replace Jose Antonio Bonet Lledós (Spain) whose 6 year‐term in the Board came to its end.

May 29, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. European Forest Institute (EFI) Council meeting took place on 27 May, 2014 at the Federal Ministry of
Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, Vienna, Austria. The EFI Council,
comprised of EFI Member Countries, meets every three years and it is the
highest decision-making body in the EFI organization, as EFI said in the press
release received by Lesprom Network.
In the meeting, the Council elected Knut Øistad from Norway to the Board for
the next 3 years. He will replace Jose Antonio Bonet Lledós
(Spain) whose 6 year‐term in the Board came to its end.
In addition, the Council renewed the appointments of Eeva Hellström
(Finland), Frits Mohren (the Netherlands) and Giuseppe Scarascia‐Mugnozza
(Italy).
