Faderco Group, through its subsidiary WARAK, will install a new Advantage DCT 200TS tissue line at its Mostaganem mill in Algeria. The new line will double the company’s tissue production capacity by adding 65 thousand tons of output per year, according to Valmet, the supplier and source of the information.
The Advantage DCT 200TS line will feature a full stock preparation system, two Focus rewinders, and auxiliary equipment. The system is designed for efficient operation with low energy and water consumption while maintaining consistent product quality.
The delivery also includes a comprehensive automation package with the Valmet DNA Automation System for process and machine control. Engineering, installation supervision, operator training, start-up, and commissioning services are part of the project scope.
According to Faderco Group CEO Amor Habes, the technology supports the company’s regional and international ambitions. He said energy and water efficiency are critical in the region, and that Valmet’s Advantage ViscoNip press has already proven effective in reducing energy use while enhancing paper quality. Habes added that the new line will enable reliable, high-quality production for export markets in Southern Europe, the UK, and Africa.
Valmet’s Sales Director Kent Nika stated that the continued collaboration with Faderco Group will bring more sustainable tissue production and support competitiveness in the market.
Start-up of the new line is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Faderco Group operates six production sites in Algeria with more than 65 production lines and employs approximately 2.8 thousand people. The company produces tissue paper, personal hygiene, cotton-based products, and absorbent hygiene solutions for domestic and international markets.
