Portuguese tissue producer Fapajal Papermaking S.A. will install a complete new tissue production line at its mill in São Julião do Tojal, with startup planned for the first half of 2027, according to .

The new PrimeLine tissue machine will have an operating speed of 1,800 meters per minute and a width of 2.75 meters. The scope of supply includes main equipment for stock preparation, a PrimePress shoe press, a steel Yankee dryer, and comprehensive automation and electrification systems. The line is designed for an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes.

The produced tissue will be used for high-quality toilet and kitchen tissue products. This investment supports Fapajal's strategic growth plan to expand its presence in the tissue market.

The project is currently in the planning phase, with basic and detailed engineering services included in the supply contract.
