Georgia-Pacific appoints new CEO and president, Joe Moeller to step down

Georgia-Pacific LLC announced on October 2, 2007 that Joe Moeller, 64, the company's chairman and chief executive officer, will return to Koch Industries as vice chairman and a member of its board of directors, effective November 1, 2007. Mr. Moeller will continue as a member of Georgia-Pacific's board of directors. Jim Hannan, 41, Georgia-Pacific's president and chief operating officer, will be promoted to CEO and president. Mr. Hannan joined Georgia-Pacific in December 2005 as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. He was named president and chief operating officer in 2006. Dave Robertson, 45, who currently serves as Koch Industries' president and chief operating officer, is assuming the additional role of chairman of Georgia-Pacific's board of directors. Mr. Robertson joined Georgia-Pacific's board in 2006.
