Gould Paper Corporation announces relocation and expansion of its Siclare Converting affiliate
Sep 23, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Harry E. Gould, Jr., chairman and president of Gould Paper Corporation, New York City, announced the relocation of Siclare Converting from Avenel, New Jersey to a 40,000 square feet facility in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Simultaneously with this relocation, Siclare will be installing a new Korber SHM 1450 HS single rotary sheeter.
Gould and Siclare formed a strategic partnership in late 2003. Siclare provides contract paper converting services to paper mills, paper merchants, brokers and end users. The converting services include sheeting, cutting and trimming, cartoning/palletizing, reconditioning and warehousing/distribution.
Dean Marabeti, president, Gould Metro division, stated, “This state-of-the-art sheeter doubles Siclare’s converting capacity and allows them to economically convert digital sizes. The SHM 1450 and the move to expanded facilities will enhance Siclare’s ability to provide first class converting services to its customers. The SHM 1450, with its versatility and flexibility, will allow Siclare to sheet sizes from 8-1/2” x 11” to 56” x 59”, as well as convert digital sizes, all with significantly reduced turnaround time. This new sheeter is designed to sheet a wide range of materials such as paper, board and plastics.”
John Siclare, vice president of sales, Siclare Converting, stated, “We are truly pleased to have the SHM 1450 at our expanded facility. This move significantly increases our sheeting capacity and the range of custom sheeting / converting services available to our customers. At our East Brunswick facility, in addition to the increased warehousing capacity, we now have the ability to accept rail cars, as well as trucks. In today’s fuel conscious environment, the rail alternative will be attractive to our customers.”
Harry Gould further stated, “With Gould’s long-standing, strategic partnerships with Partners Converting in Dallas, Texas and Lenexa, Kansas; and Alliance Converting in Miami, Florida; as well as its partnership with Siclare, the company will now have a total of ten sheeters, strategically placed in key markets of the country, to better service its customers and suppliers.”
