Green Diamond Resource Company announced changes in the organization’s senior management, effective January 1, 2019. Neal Ewald has been appointed as senior vice president, chief operating officer. Jason Carlson will be vice president and general manager of the company’s California Operations.

Green Diamond Resource appoints Neal Ewald as SVP and COO

Green Diamond Resource Company announced changes in the organization’s senior management, effective January 1, 2019. Neal Ewald has been appointed as senior vice president, chief operating officer, reporting to President Douglas Reed. Jason Carlson will be vice president and general manager of the company’s California Operations, replacing Ewald and joining three other operating vice presidents who will report to Ewald.

The company added a large land base in south central Oregon at the close of 2014 and in late 2017 announced creation of a new subsidiary, Green Diamond Management Company, to manage land for a client in the US South and West.

Ewald has held the position of senior vice president, California Operations at Green Diamond since 2014. Prior to that he was vice president and general manager, California Timberlands for 12 years and California Timberlands general manager for Simpson Timber Company.

Carlson joined Green Diamond in 2008 and has held a variety of positions as an analyst and manager. He currently serves as log sales and land manager, Oregon Operations and previously managed the start-up of the company’s Samoa, Calif, chip export business.
