Guangxi Jianhui Paper will launch a new sack and kraft paper machine at its facility in China, with start-up scheduled by the end of 2026. The investment is part of the company’s strategy to expand its high-end packaging portfolio and accelerate its shift toward intelligent manufacturing and sustainable paper-based solutions, according to the supplier Valmet.

The new machine, designated PM 8, will feature a wire width of 7,450 mm and a design speed of 1,300 m/min. It is engineered to produce kraft and sack paper grades within a basis weight range of 50 to 110 g/m2.

Valmet will supply the complete delivery, including the OptiFlo Fourdrinier headbox, OptiFormer Fourdrinier forming section, OptiPress Center press section, OptiRun Hybrid dryer section, Intelli-Microcrepe extensible unit, OptiSizer Film sizer, OptiCalender Hard calender, and OptiReel Pope reel.

To support long-term operational performance, the delivery also includes Valmet DNA machine controls (MCS), Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS), profilers, a spare parts package, and the Valmet Industrial Internet connectivity solution.

“This sack paper machine investment will significantly enhance our market position in high-end packaging and further optimize our product structure,” said Li Guihua, Chairman of Guangxi Jianhui Paper. “It also supports our intelligent transformation goals and makes a strong contribution to sustainable industry development and the local economy.”
