HS Timber Group has finalized its acquisition of Kurekss SIA and its subsidiary Kurzemes Granulas SIA, following approval from the Latvian competition authority. The deal strengthens the group's regional presence in the Baltic states by adding a leading local wood processing company to its portfolio of sustainable sawmills and renewable wood processing facilities.
The Kurekss and Kurzemes Granulas brands will continue to operate under their existing names and management teams. The group stated that both companies will now collaborate to identify operational synergies and further develop their market potential.
