The photovoltaic park at HS Timber's blockboard factory HS Baco Panels, located in Comănești, in Bacău County, Romania, has commenced operation. It has the capacity to produce 4.07 MW of electrical energy.

"Sustainability is the guiding principle and that's why we make strategic investments in renewable energy sources. The photovoltaic park will cover 20-25% of the factory’s energy needs and thus will significantly reduce the CO2 emissions," said Alexandru Agache, Administrative Director at HS Baco Panels.

The photovoltaic power plant, designed without injection, spans across the roof of the production halls, covering 40,000 m2. With an investment of approximately 3 million Euro, the project reached operational status in December 2023, it marks a significant milestone in our ongoing pursuit of environmentally responsible practices.

With over 700 employees, the HS Baco Panels factory in Comăneşti produces blockboards and solid wood panels.
