IKEA will open its Oxford Street store on 1st May 2025, completing a three-year renovation of the Grade II-listed building at 214 Oxford Street in central London. The new store will span three floors, covering 5,800 m2 of retail space, and include a Swedish deli, curated shopping areas, and a home planning hub offering complimentary design consultations, according to IKEA UK.

The ground floor will feature a London-inspired shopping space with home design inspirations and co-created shops reflecting the city's character. The first lower ground floor will house room sets showcasing IKEA's furniture solutions. The second lower ground floor will contain the market hall, offering 3,500 home accessories and small furniture pieces for immediate purchase.

Larger furniture items from IKEA’s 10,000-product range can be ordered in-store for delivery or collected from pick-up points. The new store will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The renovation included installing energy-efficient air source heat pumps to replace traditional gas-fired boilers, upgrading insulation with secondary glazing, and restoring the building’s façade. Ingka Investments managed the renovation project.
