The company already has a facility in Aizkraukle that makes doors. After the wood-fiber plant launches, the company will have two facilities, making both raw materials and end-products. JELD-WEN earlier said it would invest $40-50 million in Aizkraukle. The new plant is to launch in October.
Most of the company's products will be exported to Great Britain, France and Spain. In the future, the company will further develop its operations in Russia, the other Baltic countries, Middle East and Africa.
JELD-WEN has 150 branches in various countries, the company employs 25,000 people. According to the Lursoft database, Jeld-WEN Latvija was registered in 1994, it belongs to JELD-WEN of Europe B.V.
