Japan’s imports of wooden office furniture down 12% in June

Year-on-year, the value of Japan’s June imports of wooden office furniture declined 12% and month-on-month, June 2019 imports were down 19%, as ITTO reported.

Building on the rise in shipments in May, the value of June shipments of wooden office furniture rose again in June and accounted for around 66% of all Japan’s wooden furniture imports. 

China is the biggest supplier and the other significant suppliers in June were Poland (8%) and Portugal (7%). In total, shippers in the EU accounted for just 28% of June imports.
