Kauhajoen Lämpöhuolto Oy and KPA Unicon have signed an agreement for the delivery of a 14 MW Unicon Renefluid biofuel plant to Kauhajoki, Finland. The plant will be handed over to the customer in February 2020. The main fuels for the plant will be forest residues, recycled wood and milled peat.

KPA Unicon and Kauhajoen Lämpöhuolto sign an agreement

Kauhajoen Lämpöhuolto Oy and KPA Unicon have signed an agreement for the delivery of a 14 MW Unicon Renefluid biofuel plant to Kauhajoki, Finland. The plant will be handed over to the customer in February 2020, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The new biofuel plant will be the main plant generating district heating to the area and will replace the existing heating plants in Lellava and Aronkylä. The main fuels for the plant will be forest residues, recycled wood and milled peat.

The delivery includes a 14 MW biofuel boiler, fuel storage with 4 section scraper conveyor, crushing rollers, conveyors, screen, bag filter and two-horn stack. In addition, the plant contains PlantSys control station, alarm and reporting automation, as well as remote assistance from KPA Unicon’s Haapavesi central control station. Delivery is performed on a turn-key basis, excluding civil and foundation work.

KPA Unicon provides life cycle services for responsible district heat, steam and power generation.
